how the bottle works
The fizz
A Fizzly bottle has a bottom and a top. Every token opens at the bottom, buyers fill it toward the top, and whatever they paid stays inside until somebody sells into it. Every trade, either way, gives up a little fizz in ETH.
Just opened
Where every bottle starts. Nothing inside yet.
Half full
Buyers have pushed the price up. Their ETH is inside.
Full
Every token sold. The price can only come back down from here.
Two marks, the same for every bottle
Every bottle opens at one fixed price, the cheapest a token on Fizzly can be. It is full at another, the dearest, once the pool has sold every token it had.
Between the two is the bottle. A trade can move the price anywhere inside it and never out; the cap refuses a swap that would try.
The pool's share is sealed in
When a token is poured, the pool's share of its supply goes into the bottle as one position and stays. Nothing in the contracts can take liquidity out of a Fizzly bottle: not the pourer, not the fountain, not the contract that put it there.
The ETH that buyers pay in sits inside as a bid that belongs to nobody. Only a sell can take it out, and only by handing tokens back.
Every trade gives up fizz
A buy pays the fizz out of the ETH it puts in. A sell pays it out of the ETH it takes out. The rate is one number, the same for every bottle and every trader, and it never changes.
The fizz is taken by the Uniswap v4 hook in the bottle's key, so a trade through any router pays it the same way. There is no route around it.
Always ETH, always one address
Every Fizzly bottle is ETH against its token, and the fizz is taken on the ETH side whichever way a trade runs. It is never taken in the token.
All of it goes to one address, written into the contracts when they were deployed. There is no setter that could point it anywhere else, and no second fee.
Nothing to run
There is no owner, no pause, no upgrade and no allow-list. The fountain takes any pour from anyone, for gas and nothing else, and the deployer has had no role since the contracts went up.
What a reader can check is all there is: the source is published under MIT at each address in the Crate.
The tap stays inside the bottle
A buy from this site is trimmed to what the bottle can still sell and the rest comes back in the same transaction, so fizz is only ever paid on ETH that bought something.
A sell the bottle cannot pay for in full stops where the ETH runs out and takes only the tokens it used.
Where the figures are
The supply, the split, the two marks and the rate of the fizz are constants in the fountain’s and the cap’s source. They are not repeated on this site, because a copy can go stale and the original cannot: read them where they bind. The contracts and their addresses are in the Crate.
